The Centre for Sustainability Governance has three main themes.
1) Water Governance and Policy:
Research grouped under this theme aims to improve understanding of water governance and policy choices and the impact of those choices on water users and the wider economy. A key focus of this research group is to progress, apply and integrate research in a way that is useful to decision makers. The group also forms part of the University of South Australia research theme dealing with scarce resources.
2) Sustainability Accounting and Reporting:
Research under this theme focuses on contemporary issues in accounting, such as climate change, integrated reporting, corporate and social responsibility, management accounting for social and environmental issues, and sustainability communication.
3) Sustainable Finance:
Research under this theme focuses on applying finance principles to non-traditional finance areas to achieve better outcomes. Within this theme there is a particular focus on environmental finance, health finance and behavioural finance.
