Mentor Since 2013

While studying his undergraduate degree at UniSA, Tobias commenced his career as an accountant gaining broad experience in different industries as an auditor. During this time Tobias also completed his degree and CPA.  Through transitioning into management consulting he developed a taste for the world of IT and completed a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.  This also saw his transition from accounting firms to law firms.  Initially consulting with law firms as part of technology implementations, he was also part of process review and software development teams as well as providing database administration support. Moving into an internal role in a law firm brought with it a unique perspective of having worked on both sides of the consulting relationship.

Returning to a finance-based role, Tobias headed up a dynamic team of professionals at Piper Alderman who service a national internal client base across SA, NSW, QLD and VIC.  His IT related experience has allowed for an excellent understanding of both the financial and technological requirements of the business, which has also seen improvements and efficiency gains across the firm.  Tobias was also involved in the key management team for this growing national law firm.  Tobias is also a strong believer in giving back to the organisations that support his industry and is a Committee member of the Australasian Legal Practice Management Association in a voluntary capacity.
